Here are some of the settings for Kill Chain
1) I work mostly inside my own head or, in geographical terms, in a room above my garage. But if I write about a place, I try to go there. That's the only way truly to absorb the sights, sounds, heat and atmosphere of a location. Here are some of the settings for Kill Chain.
2) In the grounds of the Wat Po temple complex in Bangkok.
3) With a couple of miscreants outside the temple of the Reclining Buddha, Wat Po.
4) With friend and impromptu tour guide John White, Wat Po.
5) With my husband Paul in a long boat on the Chao Praya river, Bangkok. Sixty seconds later, we were racing flat out downriver with a rooster tail of water spewing behind the boat. The engine was loud enough to loosen your fillings.
6) Bangkok sunset: hot, jetlagged and happy.
7) Outside Daunt Books, Holland Park, London.
8) Holland Park: so quiet and elegant, it cries out for a chase scene to liven the place up.
9) Afternoon crush of people and traffic, Oxford Circus.
10) On a side street in Mayfair. Many thanks to my husband for trampling around London with me, shooting photos and finding places to hide in the Underground.
